HR Manager for Hire

Customer

A business expanding rapidly in response to winning tenders.

The Task

The company had appointed a new Personnel Manager from within. Due to a change in her role she was having difficulty prioritising and learning a whole new function.

Our Approach

We conducted a HR audit in order to identify issues and priorities. We then worked with the Personnel Manager and MD to prioritise the plan. We provided mentoring support and an extra pair of hands when needed to help her to action the agreed plan. Tasks included setting up a new employee records system, employee relations and disciplinary issues as well as recruitment and induction. The level of support depended on her knowledge and skills and available time. When she took annual leave we provided full cover during the time that she was away.

The Result

  • HR knowledge and expertise quickly transferred into the organisation
  • Flexibility - an extra pair of hands as and when needed
  • A prioritised action plan - ensuring focus and efficiency
  • Legal requirements assured and maintained
