An international Engineering manufacturing business with a Head Office based in Peterhead consisting of 1100 staff based in the UK and worldwide operations.

The Task

The organisation needed to communicate its business aims to its staff and engage its people in the successful implementation of this strategy. With no HR resource at the time and an IIP assessment looming there were a number of areas where this business needed some assistance.

Our Approach

We initially facilitated a meeting of the management team in order to verbalise its strategy for the business. From the business strategy we then moved on to helping them to develop an HR strategy. Previously we had undertaken an HR audit in order to identify and prioritise HR issues this was actioned and married into the implementation of the HR strategy. The implementation of the HR Strategy was undertaken by one of our more experience HR consultants, with support form our HR Manager for Hire who worked two days a week until the appointment of an HR Manager. At the beginning of the assignment the company was due for IIP re-accreditation, which they successfully achieved.
